Damnoen Saduak Market (80km from Bangkok); This little town still has a real authentic floating market. At the market you can see the various Thai vendors floating in their boats; preparing noodle, local specialties, selling fruits, species and much more. FEEL what bangkok must have been like in the 1970s! It is recommendable to make your visit as early as possible (before tour groups arrive).
Getting there: The easiest way to get at this market is by taxi. The one-way taxi fee is about 500 -800 Bath; depending where you start in Bangkok. There is also a regular (aircon) bus services every 30 minutes for 80 Bath from Pinklao. This bus ride takes about 3 hours.
